Clean Discomfort
It is natural to feel discomfort in everyday life. This is called clean discomfort, and it is what everyone feels when sick, in uncomfortable situations, on bad days, etc.
Dirty Discomfort
Dirty discomfort is when anxiety elevates discomfort to levels that impact your life. Dirty discomfort might cause you to give up things you want to do, like travel or eating certain foods, or negatively impact your relationships, schooling, or job.

If you've told others about your contamination OCD you may have been told 'no one likes it'. They are referring to clean discomfort and may be unaware of the dirty discomfort you are suffering from.
